The cornerstone of Chuckwalla v5 is Chuckwalla SDK for Microsoft .NET, the component which enables companies to gain access to their rich media content as a set of web services. Another key feature of Chuckwalla v5 is its widespread compatibility with Quark Xpress files. Offering capabilities not commonly found in DAM software, Chuckwalla v5 enables more granular access to manage the relationships of the elements contained in Quark files. In addition, print designers can now drag-and-drop images stored in Chuckwalla directly into Quark Xpress layouts - increasing their productivity while dramatically reducing production time.

Additional new features found in Chuckwalla v5 include:

• Carbon Compatible Macintosh Native Client - allows for complete DAM functionality within current Macintosh operating environments
• Direct support for Microsoft Active Directory (LDAP) - offers convenient user administration through the NetClient and authentication through both the native clients and NetClient
• "Drag and Drop" Hot Folder Utility - creates and manages hot folders on the desktop which can - automatically bulk ingest rich content files directly into Chuckwalla
• Web-based Report Manager - provides convenient access to an array of customizable usage reports
